About

SnapperWhipper…

SnapperWhipper has been a lingering idea for a long time now and I’m so excited that the timing is finally right to make it a reality!  It all started several years ago when I put together a simple list of “Baby Must Have’s” for a dear friend who was pregnant with her first child and overwhelmed with all of the products on the market.  She asked for help narrowing down the basics she didn’t want to be without, what might be helpful but not a necessity and what she could do without.  I loved putting together a list of suggestions and she found it so helpful, she passed it along to her sister and girlfriends, who in turn passed it along to their girlfriends. Before I knew it I was getting requests for new baby gift ideas, tips for traveling with kids, quick and healthy meal ideas, etc.  I had recently decided to be a stay at home mom after welcoming our second child and it became a fun outlet to both help others and get my creative juices flowing again. With both of our kids in elementary school now, I’m excited to take the time to carve out a little space of my own on the web and start sharing my thoughts and ideas with my family and friends on a more regualr basis.  I love to cook and travel, to entertain, to find the perfect gift for someone or a quote that really hits home, to stumble across a piece of furniture or artwork that I didn’t even realize a room had been missing or to find a shade of blush that makes your face look like it’s just been kissed by the sun.  SnapperWhipper will encompass all of these and then some.

Heather…

I was born and raised in New Jersey as the youngest of 3, following two brothers. We spent lots of time on Cape Cod in the summers and after heading north to Vermont for college I eventually made a career shift into the non-profit world and headed south to Washington, DC for a job offer.  Little did I know, this move would also place me in the city where I would meet my husband, Ryan. In 2007, his job would take us to Raleigh, NC and we’ve been here ever since.  He’s originally from Austin, TX and if you ask him…he’s slowly moving us south!  Just two years after settling into North Carolina we expanded our family and brought home Tucker, a chocolate lab puppy!  He is the very sweetest pup and has brought us so much joy (minus all the dog hair)! In late 2011 we were blessed with our first child, Jackson and in early 2013 we welcomed his little sister, Grace. Our family is complete, chaotic at times and constantly on the go. Thanks for joining me on this journey. I hope you have as much fun with it as I do! Xx. Heather
